Simplistic Reminders
I love how the Lord uses such unique, intimate simple reminders of his goodness and love. Rather in a song, or in the wind blowing, or just being reminded of the whole reason why we celebrate this holiday season in the first place. The Christmas story seems so ritual and we forget how precious and true it is to our own lives. Last night there was a beautifully done christmas concert at the church and even just some of the lyrics in the songs were ringing such truth to my heart. There are so many things to get caught up in during this season and last night all I could think about was not the gifts that I hope to recieve or the gifts I still have yet to buy....but Jesus. I hope I can continue to remind myself of these truths as the season progresses; I feel like in going home its only going to become harder to not get wrapped up in all the Hoopla that comes along with this time of year.Days till completely done with this semester: 1
