Bad Day

Not my bad day, but Daniel Powter's, actually his Video for that song has brought me little nuggets of joy this week. I have it at my disposal on my music program everyday and i think i've for sure watched it at least once a day everyday this week.

Its a guy and a girl, in NYC, going through the motions of a couple of "bad days". The thing about the video that I enjoy the most is that both the guy and girl in the video are working artists/designers of some sort, and really how they end up meeting is through an artistic battle of drawing on this poster in the subway. She came and drew on it, and then apparently He passes it everyday also and felt compelled to draw on it....She returns the next day to continue the "battle of the Bad Day artists".....this goes on and then the two end up meeting at the end of the day in the pouring rain as He comes to offer her some shelter from the storm under his Red umbrella.

The song itself is just great lyrics, and Daniel Powter tickles the ivories so wonderfully......but watching that video just connects with me on a different level and brings the song to life. All of this I only know thanks to Derek.....I now know that is not a "new" song thanks to Kim Bies....but since I dont Ever listen to radio, I thought I was discovering something new and great when Der told me about this....I now know that I am actually behind and that unfortunately this song is probably getting overplayed on the radio as I sit and write this. But, if you feel that is the case, download the video and rejuvinate your love for this song! :-)
