the music of my soul
Have you ever heard a song and totally felt like someone was reading your diary/journals as they wrote the lyrics?! I find this alot and I allow myself to connect with almost any song in this way. Most recent a few: Matt Kearney's "Nothing left to Lose", Toby Lightman, "everyday", anything by Bethany Dillon, always, and Patty Griffin's "Useless Desires" ( Corrie just learned how to play this one on the guitar and i've been hearing a lot of it :-) ).I've said it before, but I will say it again; I constantly think about what songs would be on the soundtrack of my life. At certain times, as moods change and as surroundings change what songs would be in the background at these moments. For instance, at the park last night for the last Cru I wouldve heard somthing like maybe Gavin Degraw's "Meaning" to start off, then it wouldve switched to maybe a little Grits, there would have to be some Jack Johnson in there, and some Shawn McDonald, and towards the latter part of my night I'm pretty sure I was hearing a mix of The Killers and Linkin Park....that might be a nice combo!hahaha
It was a great way to end another great year of CRU here. I feel like I say this to people a lot but its still true, Every semester of school I've had here has been so different. This Year as a whole has been the most consistent for me so far, but things are constantly changing in this season of life, and I love it. I love not knowing what the Lord will do next and what He has for me all the time, it keeps things exciting! I'm counting on Summer holding new things and changes as well!~Although it cant compare to last summer, so summer will be able to :-) A big part of my heart was left in California <3

A-Town,
Hey girl... I'd add on the hit single, Diary of a Mad Black Woman and the opening track from Felicity (with all the oooing and the sweet bass slide) since you and Corrie watch that a lot. You really can't get enough of that show--trust me, I know.
What's the summer got in store for ya? Let's see a post about that. I heard about the 'wild horses can't drag me away from the wedding' comment--made me smile.
Stay strong A-Town. See you soon!
Michael
Dont let your heart be in cali. Well I mean let it, but dont linger there. There are bigger and better things to come...like me living under you! OMG!
