International Dinner

Last night we all attended the international dinner that we all received super secret invitations to earlier this week. We were not allowed to talk about what each invitation said because it would ruin the surprises that the evening would hold. I used to think I liked surprises but in actuallity it turns out I really dont! I like knowing whats going to happen before hand! but anyways, it turned out to be really great. It's still pretty secretive een after teh fact they dont want us ruining it for others who may in the future attend a summer project or experience an evening like this, but I will give you the overall low down. It basically showed us how other countries may or may not get to experience the gospel, they illustrated this but lots of different instructions to each different group of people, and with different kinds of food. I thought the whole thing was so effective in giving us a small taste of reality of how we as americans take advantage of our ability to know and share the gospel so freely here. It opened my eyes to a lot and really made me want to go to China. Thats all I will say about that so that I dont say too much.

I finally got to talk to Corrie on the phone today! It was so good to hear her voice and to chat about our different projects and just comforting to know that we are going through a lot of the same emotions and stuff right now. Its my day off today so I am headed to meet with my discipler and then to the beach to get some sun! Hope your days are filled with Joy in even the littlest of things today!
