the holidays... pottery barn style

As I was working today at Pottery Barn I decided to work/shop and make my way over to the holiday section where we have lots of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and just fall in general merchandise. Of course these items include an array of leaves in many colors, none of which we actually see in Texas; the leaves go from green to on the ground and that's basically it.

Some of the Halloween items are super cute and some are just disturbing. We have these frosted sugar cookies in the shapes of ghosts, witches and pumpkins that are probably as hard as the cement outside the front door of our store; I strongly advise customers away from these cookies, they just aren't right and they are 5.99 a piece. I am a fan of the pumpkin string lights and a ghost candle that has the sweetest smile on the front of it.

I think I am bitter towards the Thanksgiving merchandise, because its also my birthday this year. This happens to me about every 4 years; as if my birthday wasn't close enough to the holidays and now I have to share it with turkey and stuffing and ewww dare I say it......pumpkin pie, sick.

I think I am going to enjoy working at Pottery Barn over the holidays this year. I can't wait for all the Christmas stuff to come out, I plan on fully decorating our apartment again this year beginning the day after Halloween. My roommates think I'm ridiculous, but love me inspite of my rather extreme love for the Christmas holidays. I fully intend on having the decorations up from the beginning of November- New years at least :-). happy early holidays.
