2 Weeks Notice

So today at work Dawn my new friend from project who works with me at Beach Treats, and I put in our two weeks notice at work. Two weeks from today will be our last day of work and 3 weeks from tomorrow I will be on a plane flying back to Texas. It's all starting to hit me that this amazing experience, and my whole world here will be over and done with a lot sooner than I think. We have quite a few people here that will be leaving early from project to get back for sorority stuff, RA training, and for school starting early. Jessica my roomate and Zach my new friend and Co-worker will both be leaving a full week early I just found out. This news overwhelmed me with saddness that I was not expecting to feel from this whole thing. I'm trying not to think about the end, but its a reality that will be faced sooner rather than later. While that last week here will inevitably be one of the saddest most emotional weeks I've ever known, I have things that I am excited to get back for. I'm so excited to move in with Bri and Corrie to our new little quaint apartment at the Herndon House. I'm excited to reconnect with all the people who ent on projects all over and chat about everything we learned and experienced this summer. I'm Super excited to have some quality girl time with all my beloved girlfriends back at home ( Lindsey and Kim, and the coolest 242 group ever). And most of all I think about how this summer has been training for the real world, the real world for me going back is Texas State and using everything I've learned here when I get back will be the real challenge and exciting thing for me. God has stretched me beyond belief here and I've made some relationships that I know will continue to grow even as we leave this place.

It DOES seem like time has flown! I'm really happy you've had such an amazing experience! You can bring back all your knowledge and growth and put it to good use here at Texas State. See ya soon!
