Joy

" Be JOYFUL always, pray continually, give thanks in All Circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thess.5:16-17

The Lord has been teaching me an abundance about Joy this week. Finding Joy in situations that seem Joyless. The difference between Joy and Happiness,and how only He can bring me these things. It's amazing to see that on days where life just seems hard and kinda yucky, how we are given and unending Joy in Him that is constant and ever prevalent in even in those times; especially in those times when we need it most. Sometimes its hard to see it, and feel it, but there comes a moment in the quiet , when I am still and allow myself to experience the Joy that only He can provide. While happiness is fleeting and inconsistent and mostly based on circumstance that will inevitably change; Joy is a gift from God of which we can experience anytime and all the time and where we can find it only in Him and not within ourselves or our circumstances! What a blessing. I was certainly thankful for Joy this week. :-)

Why I USED to love the WE Channel, and now why it makes me want to scream :-)

While my afternoons are predominatly occupied most of the time, there are some days where I would love nothing more than to come home around 4 oclock, have a little snack and beverage of some sort and go to my couch and enjoy what became a routine in our apartment last semester, 2 episodes of Felicity, back to back at 4 and again at 5. Waste of two hours of the day you may say, perhaps...but nevertheless it was something I could count on. A daily promise that would be there for me whenever I needed it, and there are some days where I think I Need it. So recently I have discovered that no longer does Felicity come on at 4, NO LONGER does Felicity come on at 5.....OH NO its the show that never should've have ever had air time on Television EVER, Dharma and Greg. I cannot express to you the disgust my roomate Corrie and I feel when we see the commercials for this show, much less the fact that it has now replaced the time slots for one of the best shows to ever grace television. Sick Sick SICK! Blast You Women's Entertainment Channel!
